Towards the edge: shorter gliding; crawl open turn touching the edge

ADDITIONAL EXERCISE for crawl turn, when we have troubles with turning on both sides. During the performance we focus on:

  • touching the edge with one arm in the beginning of the turn,
  • quick transition of the extended arm and head above the surface during the turn,
  • gliding, where we balance the depth with leaning arms and palms,
  • swimming out on the surface with kicks,
  • the start of swimming on time.

We exercise turns alternately on right and left side so once the left arm is above the surface and next time the right one.
