Starting block: arm swing start; swim out with butterfly kicks

During the performance we focus on:
  • start position with spreaded legs, feet in the width of hips, toes clinging the edge, forward bend and appropriately bended knees,
  • simultaneous swing with extended arms and head and push off,
  • flight and transition into the water with extended body position and head fixed in between the extended arms,
  • gliding deep enough,
  • gliding underwater where we control the depth with tilting the arms and hands,
  • the start of the swimming to the surface with butterfly kicks on time.
