Towards the wall: crawl; flip turn; swim out with backstroke kicks

ADDITIONAL EXERCISE for flip turn when we have troubles with timing the start of the frontal rotation. During the performance we focus on:

  • timing the start of the frontal rotation,
  • determined forward bend with symmetrical stroke and tucking the chin into the chest and butterfly kick,
  • symmetrical and quick frontal rotation by doing the circular strokes by the body,
  • transfering bent legs to the surface,
  • quick body extension on the back,
  • feet touching the wall 20 to 40 cm under the surface,
  • gliding where we regulate the depth with rotating the arms and palms,
  • timing the start of swimming.
