Towards the wall: breaststroke turn; swim out with underwater cycle

During the performance we focus on:

  • touching the edge with both arms in the beginning of the turn,
  • quick transition of the extended arm and head above the surface during the turn

                                           and

  • long first gliding with extended arms infront of the body,
  • properly wide underwater stroke,
  • accelerating the stroke,
  • long second gliding with arms by the body,
  • extending the body at the same time as the arms are returning and as we do the kick,
  • controling the depth with head movement,
  • the start of swimming on time.

We exercise turns alternately on right and left side so once the left arm is above the surface and next time the right one.
